Software Engineer II, Remote Assistance

What you'll do

• Build and maintain full-stack features including interactive web interfaces, backend services, and APIs.
• Contribute to technical designs and document implementation decisions regarding performance and reliability.
• Deliver end-to-end features by coordinating dependencies between frontend components and platform services.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code and establish monitoring and alerting for production software.
• Troubleshoot production issues independently and participate in on-call rotations.
• Improve software performance by addressing bottlenecks and reducing code duplication.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation and operational runbooks.

What we're looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping production web applications and backend services.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and a modern frontend framework such as React.
• Experience developing backend services and APIs with proficiency in at least one backend programming language.
• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and software design to implement, test, and debug features across the stack.
• Experience building real-time web applications, operational dashboards, map-based interfaces, or data visualizations (preferred).
• Familiarity with streaming data, distributed systems, or synchronizing application state between frontend and backend (preferred).
• Familiarity with autonomous vehicles, robotics, telemetry, or remote assistance systems (preferred).
