What you'll do

Design, build, test, and ship high-quality Android experiences for Venmo Commerce.
Develop modern, reusable UI using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose within Venmo's mobile architecture.
Own features end to end from technical design and implementation through launch and iteration.
Integrate mobile experiences with backend APIs, payments infrastructure, identity, and risk systems.
Build performant, resilient, accessible, and secure experiences across a broad range of Android devices.
Instrument product funnels and use data to partner with Product and Data Science teams.
Debug and resolve production issues to maintain the operational health of commerce experiences.
Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to code reviews to improve engineering quality.

What we're looking for

1+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience building production Android apps in Kotlin.
Experience using Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and Flow in production environments.
Solid architecture fundamentals including MVVM or MVI, multi-module Gradle, and dependency injection with Hilt.
Experience with REST or GraphQL integration using Retrofit and OkHttp, including caching and offline handling.
Proficiency in testing using JUnit, MockK, and Compose UI tests.
Clear written communication skills and a bias toward owning features end to end.
Payments or fintech background, PCI DSS awareness, and marketplace or ecommerce product work (preferred).
