JOB TITLE: Software Engineer
As a Software Engineer at Applied Materials, you will join a team focused on developing novel software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices. What we're looking for

Solid understanding of operating systems, memory, concurrency, networking, and performance fundamentals to reason about scalability and resource utilization.
Ability to design and implement software components with clear interfaces, separation of concerns, and end-to-end engineering practices.
Ability to communicate technical ideas, tradeoffs, and reasoning clearly in both written and verbal forms to diverse stakeholders.
Self-driven ability to learn new technologies quickly and solve difficult technical problems in ambiguous spaces.
Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field (preferred).
Experience with Rust, C++, distributed systems, or semiconductor manufacturing and scientific data systems (preferred).
