What you'll do

Port and tune model servers to improve inference performance and consistency across different environments.
Productionize Voyage models for delivery on AWS, Azure, GCP, and other third-party platforms.
Own the packaging, configuration, and deployment workflows for models outside of first-party infrastructure.
Design validation systems to ensure third-party deployments match first-party behavior in performance and correctness.
Build observability features including structured logging, metrics, and health checks using Prometheus and OpenTelemetry.
Debug complex issues spanning model servers, containers, deployment configurations, and partner cloud environments.
Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve difficult technical challenges in customer deployments.

What we're looking for

Must be based in Sydney for the hybrid working model.
4+ years of experience building backend systems, infrastructure, CI, and build tooling.
Strong software engineering skills in Python or Go with a focus on performance and reliability.
Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containers, and Kubernetes.
Ability to debug across the stack including code, runtime, model servers, and external dependencies.
Familiarity with ML model serving and inference runtimes.
Experience productionizing or deploying ML model servers like vLLM, Triton, or TGI is preferred.
Experience with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry is preferred.
