The Software Development Manager will lead the Authorization team within the Identity and Access Management organization at Oracle Health. What you'll do

  • Lead, grow, and mentor multiple engineering teams totaling over 10 engineers.
  • Own the delivery and operation of critical Authorization services within the IAM organization.
  • Provide technical direction and review architecture decisions to ensure security, scalability, and reliability.
  • Drive operational excellence for production services including incident response, observability, and capacity planning.
  • Partner with product, security, and compliance stakeholders to define priorities and deliver business outcomes.
  • Develop and communicate team roadmaps, project plans, and risks to senior leadership.
  • Coach engineers and managers to support career growth and foster a high-quality engineering culture.

What we're looking for

  • Must have 6 to 10+ years of experience.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience growing, leading, and developing successful engineering teams.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience leading large, complex technical projects from concept through production operation.
  • Must have a strong technical background in software engineering, distributed systems, cloud services, identity, security, or platform infrastructure.
  • Must have experience building or operating highly available production services.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to explain complex technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with authorization systems, IAM platforms, policy engines, RBAC, ABAC, or ReBAC (preferred).
