The Software Development Engineering role is based within the Specialty Access & Affordability value stream on the FastAuth team. As a Full Stack Developer, you will design and develop robust, scalable web applications to move specialty prescriptions through prior authorization faster, reducing the time between a prescription being written and a patient starting therapy. You will work with a collaborative group of engineers to build and maintain event-driven architecture and Azure cloud solutions. Your daily work involves using TypeScript, React, and .NET to turn complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions. You will also utilize Kafka, AI tools, and potentially RPA technology or FHIR standards. The role requires shipping production software, monitoring systems, and participating in agile ceremonies to solve healthcare data exchange problems.

What you'll do

Design and develop scalable web applications using TypeScript, React, and .NET.
Implement and manage Azure cloud solutions in collaboration with architects.
Build and maintain the company's event-driven architecture.
Translate complex business requirements into simple technical solutions.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and provide continuous improvement for production applications.
Participate in agile ceremonies, technical planning, and design reviews.
Ship high-quality software at a predictable cadence.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of relevant professional experience.
5+ years of experience building and shipping production software applications.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React, and/or .NET.
Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
Working knowledge of event-driven architecture, ideally including Kafka.
A track record of using AI tools effectively in a day-to-day development workflow.
Experience with healthcare applications, EHR integrations, RPA, FHIR standards, CI/CD pipelines, or open source contributions (preferred).
