Software Development Engineer, Leo Manufacturing Software Systems will join the Manufacturing Software Systems team to address technical challenges involving the manufacturing of satellites, ground equipment, and associated ASICs. The role involves translating business requirements into concrete deliverables, building prototypes, and developing software for assembly, calibration, testing, and high-throughput chip provisioning. You will design end-to-end orchestration capabilities for factory production lines while architecting secure systems to protect intellectual property through a secure chain of trust. This position requires experience in at least one programming language, as well as expertise in system design, architecture, reliability, and scaling. The work focuses on industrial automation and manufacturing software for the Leo satellite fleet. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams across hardware, networks, RF, embedded, real-time, and distributed systems to develop solutions for complex production environments.

What we're looking for
At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience is required.
At least 2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience for new and existing systems is required.
Experience programming in at least one software programming language is required.
A Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations is preferred.
