Software Developer Co-Op

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and debug software across front-end, back-end, infrastructure, and full-stack environments.
• Build tools to help developers evaluate, observe, debug, benchmark, and optimize AI agents and generative AI applications.
• Analyze LLM behaviors such as tool usage, response quality, latency, and cost.
• Develop automated evaluation systems including test-case generation, benchmarking, and regression testing for AI applications.
• Build services and APIs to collect and process telemetry data from distributed AI systems.
• Create SDKs and integrations that connect with various AI models and development frameworks.
• Optimize AI system performance through prompt engineering, model selection, and automated experimentation.
• Develop user interfaces using React or contribute to backend services and distributed systems.

What we're looking for

• Must be actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program at the time of application and returning to complete the degree after the Co-op.
• Must be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for 16 weeks between January 19 and May 7, 2027, without concurrent coursework.
• Must be available to start in a full-time role between December 2027 and August 2028 upon successful completion of the degree.
• Experience with software development using at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Go, or Rust).
• Familiarity with core computer science concepts including data structures, algorithms, debugging, APIs, and software design.
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git and experience with front-end or back-end technologies such as React or Node.js.
• Interest in AI systems, large language models, cloud computing, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and distributed systems.
• Experience with LLM frameworks, cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), or CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
