What you'll do

  • Develop strategies and programs to increase developer adoption of IBM Quantum technologies.
  • Create technical assets including tutorials, documentation, videos, and sample applications to improve developer success.
  • Represent IBM Quantum at technical talks, workshops, hackathons, conferences, and community events.
  • Advocate for the developer experience by identifying friction points and influencing product roadmap decisions.
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with academic institutions, research organizations, and industry leaders.
  • Cultivate a sustainable open-source community for the Qiskit ecosystem through contributor engagement.
  • Measure adoption metrics to continuously improve the developer journey and identify usability trends.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Quantum Information Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant technical field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, Technical Education, or Technical Community Management.
  • Strong understanding of quantum computing and software development using Qiskit or comparable frameworks.
  • Experience building software, developer tools, technical demonstrations, or production applications.
  • Proven ability to create technical content including tutorials, documentation, workshops, blogs, videos, and conference presentations.
  • Excellent public speaking skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, Research, Marketing, and Sales teams.
