Software Cybersecurity Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and validate cybersecurity controls for cloud-based applications, software products, and connected medical devices.
• Identify and assess security risks, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats to drive remediation strategies.
• Conduct technical security reviews and penetration testing using manual and automated methods to find code flaws and misconfigurations.
• Develop and deliver security artifacts including SBOMs, threat models, and release security documentation for product software.
• Build and modify agentic AI applications to automate cybersecurity deliverables such as scan-result analysis and evidence collection.
• Use AI-powered tools and coding languages like Python and JavaScript to write, review, and secure code efficiently.
• Provide information security expertise to incorporate control measures into new and existing medical device projects.
• Translate vulnerability findings into actionable, business-focused risk insights for technical and leadership stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• Associate's degree and 7 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years (7+ preferred) in cybersecurity, product security, IT security, or related experience (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree or higher education (preferred).
• Hands-on experience conducting web, mobile, and cloud infrastructure security testing using DAST, SAST, SCA, and SBOM tooling (preferred).
• Holds or working toward relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP, or CEH (preferred).
• Prior product-development cybersecurity role and familiarity with medical devices or diagnostic equipment (preferred).
• Advanced experience applying AI into everyday tasks, including building and modifying AI agents for cybersecurity deliverables (preferred).
• Understanding of ISO 27001 and NIST cybersecurity frameworks with experience in audit and certification processes (preferred).
