SoC Power Spec Engineer

As an SoC Power Spec Engineer within the Silicon Engineering group, you will contribute to the development of state-of-the-art ASICs for mobile products. You will be responsible for modeling power dissipation at the SOC level across various components, including Neural Engines, CPUs, Graphics, media IPs, caches, and fabric. Your daily work involves modeling power for specific customer use-cases and collaborating with architecture, system design, and product engineering teams to define power targets and delivery. You will also partner with lab and silicon characterization teams to correlate models with actual silicon data. The role requires expertise in SOC architecture, VLSI design flow, CMOS technology, and thermal control loops. Essential skills include scripting and data analysis to optimize power efficiency for advanced chips while managing complex technical requirements across multiple internal engineering teams.
