The SoC Performance Analysis Engineer joins the SoC Performance Verification group within Hardware Technology to support the development of hardware for various devices. In this role, you will work closely with Architecture to understand design performance goals and correlate RTL performance against model performance. Your daily responsibilities include performing deep performance analysis, identifying bottlenecks, and reporting findings to coordinate improvements with Design and Architecture teams. You will also define performance statistics and standard methodologies to improve correlation efforts. The position requires sophisticated knowledge of CPU and SoC architecture and design. Necessary technical skills include familiarity with verification environments, Verilog, and C/C++. Additionally, you should possess experience with SystemVerilog and scripting in Perl or Python to solve diverse challenges and support multi-functional engineering efforts.

What you'll do

Understand performance goals of the design by working closely with the Architecture team.
Correlate RTL performance against model performance.

Define performance statistics to assist in performance debugging.
Establish standard methodologies to improve performance correlation efforts.

What we're looking for

Sophisticated knowledge of CPU and SoC architecture/design (preferred).
Familiarity with verification environments and Verilog, C/C++ (preferred).
Experience with SystemVerilog, Verilog, and scripting in Perl/Python (preferred).
Well-rounded in performance correlation and analysis with excellent social skills (preferred).
Desire to solve diverse challenges (preferred).
Bachelors degree.
