As a SoC Characterization Product Engineer within the Silicon Technologies group, you will contribute to the development of high-performance, power-efficient system-on-chip processors. Your daily responsibilities involve performing data analysis, characterization, and fault isolation to resolve root causes while defining correlation between ATE and various logic boards. You will study how hardware impacts SoC performance, partner with design, process, and test engineers to implement corrective actions, and define production screening guard-band specifications based on design intent. Additionally, you will perform statistical data analysis on mass datasets to set test limits, conduct yield analyses, and support test time reduction activities. The role requires expertise in scripting languages like Python and PERL, knowledge of electronic engineering fundamentals, DFT concepts, and experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers for system-level characterization.

What you'll do

Perform data analysis and fault isolation to identify the root causes of hardware issues.
Correlate test results between ATE systems and various hardware setups.
Study the impact of hardware components on overall SoC performance.
Define production screening guard-band specifications based on design intent and characterization results.
Conduct statistical data analysis on mass datasets to establish appropriate test limits.
Perform yield and correlation analyses for all levels of test insertions.
Execute characterization activities specifically aimed at reducing test time.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience.
In depth knowledge of Semiconductor Manufacturing Process, Electronic Engineering Fundamentals, and DFT concepts (preferred).
Experience in system level or mother board characterization and data collection (preferred).
Expertise in programming with scripting languages such as PERL or Python (preferred).
Knowledge of test equipment including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers (preferred).
Experience in board bring up, hardware design, and PDN noise analysis (preferred).
Excellent interpersonal skills to work with internal team members and external suppliers (preferred).
