As a Senior Associate of Business Financial Tools within the Small Business Card team, you will lead the discovery, research, and development of new product capabilities focused on how small businesses manage and track credit card spend and expenses. You will identify customer problems, define requirements, and deliver innovative solutions by collaborating with design, architecture, and engineering teams. Your daily work involves conducting market research, writing epics, and integrating data analytics and user experience research to drive prioritization decisions. The role requires proficiency in the product development lifecycle, JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and AI-powered productivity tools. You will solve complex business processes related to expense management, potentially utilizing optical character recognition, machine learning, or AI technologies to extract and enrich data from unstructured inputs while ensuring consistency across various customer journeys and channels.
Lead discovery and market research to identify customer problems and define solutions for small business expense management.
Develop product strategies and write detailed requirements and epics to guide engineering and design teams.
Use data analytics, user research, and competitive analysis to inform product prioritization decisions.
Champion new features across customer journeys to increase satisfaction and engagement.
Manage feature prioritization by balancing user value against business goals and technical trade-offs.
Communicate project status and manage expectations with both technical and business stakeholders.
Utilize experimentation and testing to drive data-driven product decisions.
What we're looking for
3+ years of experience in product management developing products and launching customer-facing capabilities at scale.
Proficient knowledge of the product development lifecycle, including discovery, requirement definition, epic creation, acceptance criteria, and delivery planning.
Ability to build strong partnerships across Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Servicing teams to drive alignment and execution.
Effective verbal and written communication skills for engaging with business and technical stakeholders and leadership.
Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze complex business processes.
Proficiency with product management tools like JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and AI-powered productivity tools.
Understanding of how small businesses manage their books and building tools for those needs (preferred).
