Site Reliability Engineer

What you'll do

• Install, configure, maintain, and support IBM Z infrastructure.
• Perform z/OS operating system maintenance including upgrades, service implementation, and testing.
• Monitor system performance and availability to ensure reliable operations.
• Participate in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and problem management.
• Support storage, networking, security, and middleware teams to maintain a stable environment.
• Develop automation and operational efficiencies using scripting and IBM tools.
• Create system documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards.
• Participate in infrastructure projects involving modernization and platform enhancements.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Master's Degree (preferred).
• Basic understanding of operating systems, networking, and enterprise computing concepts.
• Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as REXX, Python, Java, C/C++, or similar.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Exposure to IBM Z, z/OS, Linux on IBM Z, or mainframe technologies through coursework, internships, labs, or personal projects (preferred).
• Familiarity with JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, RACF, VTAM/TCPIP, or system automation concepts (preferred).
• Experience with automation, scripting, DevOps, Git, GitHub, Agile, CI/CD pipelines, or relevant industry certifications (preferred).
