Silicon Supplier Excellence Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead technical engagements between Apple and silicon and IP suppliers across all development phases.
• Oversee micro-architecture specification, pre-silicon simulation, emulation, and verification activities.
• Manage post-silicon bring-up, validation, characterization, and qualification for high-volume manufacturing.
• Direct hardware and software verification and qualification efforts to ensure on-schedule completion.
• Perform statistical analysis on characterization and qualification data for productization tasks.
• Distill critical technical and business data into actionable information for data-driven decision-making.
• Direct multi-functional debug efforts and manage crisis situations during dynamic schedule-driven development.

What we're looking for

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 20 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in integrated circuit design and design automation tools.
• Hands-on experience with front-end and back-end digital tool suites, including place and route, synthesis, and design verification.
• SOC implementation skills.
• Deep knowledge of EDA tools and approaches for managing design complexity and large technical teams (preferred).
• Strong communication, program management, and social skills (preferred).
• Comfort with dynamic schedule-driven development, crisis management, and directing multi-functional debug efforts (preferred).
