Signal Integrity Engineer - Serdes, Satellites (Starlink) joins the Payload Engineering team to provide signal integrity ownership across the entire lifecycle of hardware for satellite connectivity. Design, simulate, and verify signal integrity for high-speed SERDES and memory interfaces on satellite hardware.
Perform PCB layout oversight and select materials based on derived top-level specifications.
Optimize transition structures for the entire channel from die bump to die bump.
Root cause and resolve issues found during manufacturing, testing, or satellite integration.
Define simulation workflows, test methodologies, and signoff criteria for Starlink payload hardware.
Develop and share signal integrity knowledge and techniques across the broader engineering team.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect products using novel channels and power delivery strategies.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or physics.
1+ years of industry experience designing circuits, electronic products, or hardware.
1+ years of experience using 3D EM simulation tools and high-speed digital channel simulators like CST, HFSS, or ADS.
1+ years of research or industry experience with high-speed digital design.
Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering or computer engineering with emphasis on electromagnetic theory, transmission line theory, or wireline transceivers (preferred).
3+ years of electronic product experience designing hardware from concept through production (preferred).
3+ years of experience architecting, implementing, and debugging cutting edge DSP based SERDES products (preferred).
3+ years of experience specifying, analyzing, debugging, and working with high speed, high bandwidth memory interfaces (preferred).
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required export control authorizations.
