Sensing HW Algorithm Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop and prototype advanced sensing algorithms for future products using analytical modeling, ML, and signal processing.
• Perform algorithm performance bounding and validation to characterize system capabilities.
• Define specific sensor hardware and algorithm performance requirements for product deployment.
• Design new sensing algorithm architectures using statistical signals processing and optimization methods.
• Negotiate cross-functional requirements with Electrical Engineering and Firmware teams to ensure subsystem performance.
• Contribute to the development of software toolchains and methodologies used for algorithm development.
• Analyze large datasets and develop data processing pipelines for algorithm validation.
• Optimize algorithms to meet hardware constraints such as compute, memory, and power limits.

What we're looking for

• BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong background in image/signal processing, estimation/inference, or machine learning.
• Strong engineering math background including applied linear algebra and probability.
• Strong programming skills in high-level languages such as Python or Matlab.
• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or Physics (preferred).
• Multi-disciplinary understanding of EE and Physics principles (preferred).
• Experience with large datasets, data processing pipelines, and ML/DL training and validation (preferred).
• Experience with algorithm optimization for hardware constraints and system-level design of sensing systems (preferred).
