The Senior UX Designer joins the Hyperfabric Engineering Team to modernize data center deployment and management for AI and edge computing workloads. This role involves owning the end-to-end UX process for a cloud-based product that allows customers to order, operate, monitor, triage, and remediate infrastructure in a scalable, hands-off manner. You will translate complex technical needs into intuitive experiences by leading discovery, research, information architecture, interaction design, and prototyping. Key responsibilities include creating implementation-ready designs, specifications, and decision records while mentoring other designers. You must demonstrate proficiency with Figma and apply systems thinking to solve networking and server ecosystem problems. The work focuses on simplifying complex operational tasks, ensuring accessibility through WCAG standards, and maintaining consistency across a unified design system to improve customer outcomes.
Lead the end-to-end UX process from initial discovery and research through prototyping and implementation.
Simplify complex technical and operational problems using systems thinking and information architecture.
Use customer research, usability findings, and analytics to identify needs and influence product direction.
Create implementation-ready designs including specifications, acceptance criteria, and accessibility guidance.
Partner with engineering and product teams to align requirements, constraints, and technical trade-offs.
Work with engineering during delivery to resolve gaps and evolve reusable design patterns.
Champion accessible, inclusive, and consistent experiences across the entire product suite.
Mentor other designers through critiques, facilitation, and knowledge sharing.
What we're looking for
Must have a Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of related experience, a Master's degree plus 6 years, or a PhD plus 3 years.
Must have experience leading complex digital products from discovery through implementation and validation with product and engineering teams.
Must provide a portfolio demonstrating interaction design, information architecture, prototyping, visual design, systems thinking, and proficiency with Figma.
Experience designing complex technical products, particularly in networking or adjacent domains (preferred).
Experience using customer evidence to shape product direction and evaluate outcomes (preferred).
Experience with design systems, reusable patterns, WCAG, and inclusive design (preferred).
Familiarity with frontend constraints, APIs, data models, or design-to-development workflows (preferred).
Experience mentoring designers, leading critiques or workshops, and raising design quality (preferred).
