The Senior TIDES Engineer Support Specialist joins the TIDES team within Systems Engineering Integration and Test as a Software & Networking cognizant engineer. In this role, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert providing critical support for complex systems. Your daily responsibilities include network and system management, research support, and utilizing hands-on knowledge of COTS and GOTS network and systems management applications. You will be expected to apply expertise in systems engineering while working across multiple adjacent disciplines to solve technical problems. The position requires proficiency in identifying opportunities to apply Artificial Intelligence for continuous improvement. This role supports the development of practical solutions for national security, specifically addressing technical challenges within the engineering and research domains.

What you'll do

Support the TIDES team within Systems Engineering Integration and Test as a Software & Networking cognizant engineer.
Provide subject matter expertise in systems engineering and network/system management.
Manage COTS and GOTS network and systems management applications.
Provide technical support for research initiatives and mission-critical systems.
Identify and apply Artificial Intelligence opportunities for continuous process improvement and innovation.
Maintain and manage complex network infrastructures in a classified environment.

What we're looking for

U.S. citizenship is required.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance.
A Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field plus 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of experience.
Expertise in systems engineering and network/system management with a background in research support.
In-depth, hands-on knowledge of COTS/GOTS network and systems management applications.
Subject matter expert in at least one discipline with working knowledge in multiple adjacent fields.
Creative thinking, multi-tasking, and a commitment to professional development (preferred).
