What you'll do

  • Lead detailed contract reviews and prepare ASC 606 checklists for revenue recognition.
  • Establish Standalone Selling Price (SSP) and fair value determinations for products and services.
  • Research ASC 606 codification and provide expert guidance on complex revenue scenarios.
  • Manage audits by liaising with external auditors and providing clear documentation.
  • Drive process innovation within the revenue accounting cycle to enhance efficiency.
  • Prepare and review complex journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
  • Assist in implementing internal controls and procedures for compliance with SOX.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting with ASC 606 application.
  • Deep understanding and experience with government contracting, including FFP, CPFF, T&M, CR contracts.
  • Strong communication skills for translating complex technical accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale ERP systems like Oracle or SAP, preferably Oracle Fusion Cloud and Salesforce.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with project accounting functionalities in ERP systems.
  • Ability to lead detailed contract reviews and prepare ASC 606 checklists for revenue recognition.
  • Assist in the formulation, implementation, and testing of internal controls compliant with SOX and GAAP.
