Senior Revenue Accountant

What you'll do

• Analyze customer contracts to determine performance obligations and revenue recognition timing under ASC 606.
• Prepare and review detailed revenue recognition schedules including deferred revenue and contract assets.
• Develop technical accounting memos to document complex issues and provide clear business implications.
• Design and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
• Advise Sales and Legal teams on contract structuring to align with revenue accounting standards.
• Lead month-end close activities by validating data and ensuring the accuracy of reported results.
• Identify inefficiencies in revenue processes and implement automation or standardization initiatives.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for internal and external audits regarding revenue reporting.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. for full-time employment.
• Experience in revenue accounting, technical accounting, or public accounting is required.
• Advanced knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles is required.
• Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls over financial reporting is required.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (such as NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills are required.
• A CPA certification is strongly preferred.
• Experience in SaaS or fintech environments, including Big 4 public accounting, is desired.
• Experience with revenue automation tools like RevPro or Zuora is desired.
