The Senior Systems Operations Engineer joins the Systems Operations functional area to design, build, and support highly available, scalable, and secure technology platforms. This role focuses on driving reliability through observability, automation, and continuous service optimization while leading incident response and root cause analysis. Key responsibilities include managing installed systems, increasing efficiency by reducing human intervention, and analyzing operational support systems to ensure infrastructure availability. The candidate will utilize a technical stack including Java, .NET, Oracle, MSSQL, and MongoDB. Required skills involve implementing observability via AppDynamics, Splunk, Elastic, BigPanda, and Grafana. Additionally, the role requires experience with Jenkins, Artifactory, Harness, Terraform, and Ansible to manage production application support, traffic management, and data replication across on-prem, hybrid, and public cloud environments.
Manage all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area.
Increase system efficiencies and reduce human intervention through automation and self-healing patterns.
Analyze operational support systems and application software to ensure high availability.
Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and reliability initiatives to reduce operational risk.
Implement application observability using tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, and Grafana.
Support large-scale Java and .NET applications across on-prem, hybrid, and public cloud environments.
Resolve complex technical issues in coordination with vendors and other technical personnel.
Execute CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code using tools like Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible.
What we're looking for
4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent.
3+ years of experience leading Production Application Support at scale, including ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management.
3+ years of experience implementing application Observability through tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Elastic, BigPanda, Grafana, or Microsoft Application Insights.
3+ years of experience supporting large-scale Java and .NET applications.
Strong RDBMS expertise in Oracle or MSSQL.
Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB) (preferred).
Experience supporting AI/ML-enabled production systems and understanding AI operational concerns (preferred).
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, Harness), Terraform, Ansible, and traffic management (F5, AVI) (preferred).
