As a Senior Staff Windows Developer - Debugger, you will join an Agile Scrum Team focused on the end-to-end lifecycle of Windows on Snapdragon product lines. You will be responsible for gathering requirements, designing and developing key features, and coordinating with internal and external teams to bring up, support, triage, and unblock issues on Qualcomm chipsets. The role requires expertise in embedded Windows software, operating system concepts, and experience with Windows or Linux kernels. You will utilize C, C++, Java, Python, and Shell Scripting to perform debugging on ARM or other SoC embedded systems. Key technical competencies include WinDbg, JTAG tools, processor architecture, cache subsystems, and device driver programming. You will also work with System BIOS, UEFI, ACPI, and ARM assembly while performing system performance profiling and optimization for the Windows on Snapdragon platform.
Gather requirements and design key features for Windows on Snapdragon product lines.
Develop software for the end-to-end lifecycle of Windows-on-Snapdragon products.
Bring up, support, and triage issues on Qualcomm chipsets.
Debug ARM or other SoC embedded systems using tools like WinDbg and JTAG.
Perform system performance profiling and optimization techniques.
Develop device drivers and manage kernel architecture components.
Coordinate with internal and external teams to unblock technical issues.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree with 6+ years experience, Master's with 5+ years, or PhD with 4+ years in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 3 years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
Experience with Windows and/or Linux kernel development and operating system concepts.
Proficiency in C/C++, Shell Scripting, or Python for debugging ARM or other SoC embedded systems.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to coordinate across stakeholders.
Knowledge of Windows OS internals (preferred).
Experience with device driver programming and debugging using WinDbg or JTAG tools (preferred).
Experience with processor architecture, cache subsystems, ARM assembly, and system performance profiling (preferred).
