What you'll do

Lead architectural direction across storage, streaming, and data lake platforms to support transactional and analytical workloads.
Design and guide the implementation of distributed systems including database sharding and proxy-based query routing.
Develop real-time event processing pipelines and CDC systems to improve data freshness and latency.
Drive 0→1 initiatives to introduce new capabilities in streaming, ingestion, and large-scale data processing.
Partner with engineering leaders to align platform roadmaps with business requirements for reliability and scalability.
Oversee the full lifecycle of data from low-latency order paths to batch analytics systems.

What we're looking for

Extensive experience building and scaling distributed systems.
Deep expertise in at least two areas: storage systems, streaming platforms, or data lake/large-scale data processing.
Strong understanding of database systems including PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, with knowledge of replication and sharding.
Experience with streaming and event-driven architectures using technologies like Kafka or Flink.
Familiarity with modern data platforms and compute engines such as Spark or Delta Lake.
Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives and define long-term architecture across multiple teams.
