What you'll do

  • Design and build scalable, distributed data platform systems.
  • Own Databricks workspace architecture, governance, and lifecycle management.
  • Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform/Terramate.
  • Build and support end-to-end data pipelines from ingestion to analytics.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and data artifacts.
  • Define and monitor SLIs/SLOs for platform reliability and data quality.
  • Mentor engineers and influence platform standards and best practices.

What we're looking for

  • 7+ years of IT-related experience or 5+ years with programming (e.g., Java, Python)
  • 3+ years each in SQL/NoSQL databases and data structures/algorithms
  • Proven experience designing complex distributed data systems end-to-end
  • Expert-level AWS experience including networking, IAM, security, multi-account environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks Lakehouse Platform (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, MLflow)
  • Deep experience with Terraform/Terramate and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and ability to mentor team members
