As a Senior Staff, DevOps Engineering, you will join the engineering team to lead and scale organizational capabilities for high-quality software and firmware delivery. You will design and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and GitHub Actions while managing source control platforms like GitLab and Perforce. Your daily work involves developing build systems with Makefiles and CMake, implementing configuration management via Ansible and Chef, and providing technical leadership on branching strategies and release workflows. You will utilize Python, C, C++, and Shell scripting to automate processes and support tools like Jira and Confluence. The role focuses on solving complex problems within server firmware and software stacks, specifically involving Zephyr, OpenBMC, and EDK2 frameworks to streamline the development lifecycle for embedded systems and semiconductor-related technologies.
Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and GitHub Actions.
Manage source control platforms including GitLab and Perforce to ensure robust versioning and release management.
Develop and maintain build systems and scripts using Makefiles and CMake for software compilation and packaging.
Implement configuration management and infrastructure automation frameworks such as Ansible and Chef.
Integrate and support requirements management, collaboration, and issue tracking tools like Jira and Confluence.
Enable and manage static code analysis, code quality, and coverage tools.
Develop automation tooling and scripts using Shell and Python.
Provide technical leadership and coaching to development teams on DevOps principles and best practices.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 6+ years of experience, OR Master's with 5+ years, OR PhD with 4+ years.
3+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
12+ years of experience in Software, Firmware, or Systems Engineering, including 7+ years building virtual platforms, SystemC TLM models, or simulators (preferred).
3+ years of demonstrated experience as a DevOps Engineer or technical leader, preferably within the semiconductor industry (preferred).
Proficiency with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions), SCM tools (GitLab, Perforce), and build systems (Makefile, CMake).
Expertise in configuration management and infrastructure automation using Ansible and Chef.
Working knowledge of server firmware/software frameworks such as Zephyr, OpenBMC, and EDK2 (preferred).
Experience with requirements management and defect tracking systems like Jira and Confluence (preferred).
