Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer, Mission Payload

What you'll do

• Support systems engineering for a space-based EO/IR mission payload through design, development, integration, test, and verification.
• Develop, decompose, allocate, and maintain system, subsystem, and component-level requirements.
• Coordinate the definition and management of internal and external interfaces across payload subsystems and spacecraft elements.
• Perform system-level analyses, trade studies, and technical assessments to evaluate design performance and mission compliance.
• Support system integration and test planning, discrepancy resolution, and technical issue closure.
• Manage Cost Account Management (CAM) activities including planning, tracking, and reporting on scope, schedule, and cost performance.
• Identify and communicate technical risks, assumptions, and dependencies while supporting mitigation planning.
• Maintain technical baseline consistency through disciplined configuration and change management practices.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 6 years of experience, a Graduate degree and 4 years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
• Eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Experience with space-based EO/IR systems, electro-optical payloads, or remote sensing systems (preferred).
• Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS, DOORS Next, or Jama (preferred).
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, or Capella (preferred).
• Experience with interface management, ICD development, and verification traceability (preferred).
• Active security clearance (preferred).
• U.S. citizens.
