Senior Specialist, Information Security Systems Engineer 1

What you'll do

• Conduct vulnerability scans on networks, systems, and applications to identify security weaknesses and threats.
• Support the implementation, testing, and basic operation of firewalls, IDS, and endpoint protection platforms.
• Review systems and configurations to ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Evaluate security products and technologies to provide input on tools that improve network and system security.
• Communicate findings and document risks to internal teams and stakeholders regarding information assurance controls.
• Provide recommendations for security requirements and information assurance controls based on assessment results.

What we're looking for

• Active US Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0-2 years of prior related experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Active Security+ certification or comparable Department of Defense 8140 certification.
• Experience assessing security and privacy controls in embedded systems using NIST 800-53 (preferred).
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols (preferred).
• U.S. citizens.
