Senior Specialist Electrical Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead electronics design efforts including schematic capture, functional diagrams, and wiring diagrams for digital, power, and analog designs.
• Create design review packages and present circuit designs, performance budgets, and test data to peers and customers.
• Develop test plans and procedures to validate that circuit implementations meet functional requirements.
• Translate system-level requirements into detailed implementation-level block diagrams and design concepts.
• Lead bench-level system integration involving hardware, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and software designs.
• Transition new electronic hardware to the production phase by coordinating with the Operations team.
• Generate trade studies to analyze cost and schedule impacts on short turnaround projects.
• Design, build, and test digital and mixed-signal circuit boards using industry-standard simulation tools.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of relevant experience, a Graduate Degree and 4 years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
• Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance.
• Knowledge of electronic design and simulation tools such as Xpedition, Altium, OrCAD, Spice, and Mentor Graphics.
• Experience with board design using microcontrollers, including microcontroller programming and debugging in embedded C.
• Experience with Python and other scripting tools for verification of hardware I/O.
• Knowledge of Linux operating system and familiarity with command line execution.
• Active DOD Secret, TS, or TS/SCI clearance (preferred).
• U.S. citizens.
