What you'll do

Build and develop high-performing data engineering teams through coaching, mentoring, hiring, and talent development.
Manage 3–6 scrum teams including performance management, compensation planning, and career development.
Establish engineering best practices for quality, observability, security, automation, and operational excellence.
Partner with product managers and business leaders to prioritize investments and develop multi-year roadmaps.
Champion modern software engineering practices such as CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, DevSecOps, and automated testing.
Improve platform reliability, performance, scalability, and cost optimization for data services.
Manage project resources, budgets, and compliance with cybersecurity and regulatory standards.
Maintain relationships with external technology vendors to ensure quality delivery and partnership success.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or math with at least 7 years of technical work experience.
Advanced degree in science, technology, engineering, or math with at least 5 years of technical and 5 years of managerial experience.
Experience leading Data Services and Data Engineering teams (preferred).
Experience in the Med-Tech industry (preferred).
Ability to manage geographically distributed software development teams (preferred).
Strong knowledge of modern cloud data ecosystems such as AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferred).
Experience with distributed data processing, ETL/ELT, streaming platforms, data lakes, APIs, and microservices (preferred).
Work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.
