What you'll do

Assess software gaps and classify requirements to align business expectations with existing software products.
Create user stories and convert high-level designs into detailed functional logic, mock screens, and pseudo codes.
Develop and configure minimalistic, scalable, and high-availability software code for entire components or applications.
Build scripts to automate repetitive tasks within CI/CD pipelines, testing processes, and other workflows.
Implement telemetry features and ensure security policy requirements are applied during code development.
Map customer requirements to test objectives, create test cases, and execute various testing types to detect defects.
Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and conduct complex maintenance procedures, including corrective and perfective re-engineering.
Analyze application logs and performance metrics to provide data-driven insights on software health.

What we're looking for

Must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of software engineering experience.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressively responsible software engineering experience.
Experience designing and implementing RESTful web services using JAVA.
Experience with Core Java and object-oriented programming.
Experience with Spring Framework for backend development.
Experience developing scalable web applications using Play framework.
Experience with functional programming languages such as Scala.
Experience with Event Streaming and messaging with Kafka.
Experience with Containerization using Docker.
Experience with CI/CD pipeline and release automation using CircleCI and Jenkins.
Experience with Cloud based services and services architecture (AWS).
Experience with Test-driven development and automated testing practices.
Experience designing scalable multi-tier or distributed applications.
