What you'll do

Design and develop high-quality embedded UI applications and interfaces for the Vizio OS platform.
Own the design and architecture of software components and modules for new products and features.
Lead the software engineering team by mentoring junior members and conducting peer code reviews.
Design APIs and SDKs for use by both internal and external teams.
Implement complex algorithms and optimize software performance for embedded platforms.
Research and implement new design patterns and standards to improve development workflows.
Translate complex business rules into technical requirements for the development team.
Develop internal tools to support the larger software development community.

What we're looking for

Must have a B.S. or Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area.
Must have 3 years of experience in software engineering or a related area if holding a Bachelor's degree.
Must have 5 years of experience in software engineering or a related area if no degree is held.
Must have 5+ years of experience in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and native JavaScript like Angular or ReactJS.
Must have experience in full stack development using NodeJS, JavaScript, ReactNative, TypeScript, and SQL.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in TV/STB application development is a plus.
Experience in Video On Demand applications and ad insertion technologies (AVOD, TVOD) is a big plus.
