Senior Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure across high-compliance security baselines.
• Support operations transitioning into disconnected, air-gapped, and top-secret defense environments.
• Maintain strict security controls, audit readiness, and continuous monitoring for classified networks.
• Design, build, and maintain robust backend services and intuitive frontend interfaces.
• Identify and prioritize tech debt to improve CI/CD, observability, documentation, and reliability.
• Partner with Product and Design teams to own and deliver desired customer outcomes.
• Mentor peer engineers to raise the technical bar of the engineering team.

What we're looking for

• Must possess an active U.S. TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Poly.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (Secret or Top Secret).
• Must be physically located on U.S. soil as defined by FAR 2.101.
• Must have 5+ years of experience in software engineering shipping enterprise cloud software.
• Must have hands-on coding depth in Java, Python, or TypeScript, plus API (REST, gRPC) and UI automation (Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent).
• Must have experience with CI/CD (CircleCI or equivalent), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and a major cloud platform.
• Must have proven experience navigating Federal and DoD compliance frameworks, specifically FedRAMP and Impact Level 6 (IL6).
• Must have deep expertise in building reliable, secure, enterprise-grade software in Java or another type-safe language.
• Must have high proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript with true fullstack range to ship robust frontends.
• Must understand web authentication and authorization fundamentals and best practices for securing sensitive user data.
• Must be able to apply AI meaningfully across the full software development lifecycle and establish AI practices for a team.
• Must have proven experience defining scalable backend architectures and integrating complex APIs with modern web technologies.
• Must have experience building, scaling, and troubleshooting infrastructure in restricted environments (preferred).
• Must have a solid understanding of air-gap architectures, zero-trust frameworks, and data diode/secure transfer mechanisms (preferred).
• Must have experience with Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) or Identity and Access Management (IAM) (preferred).
• Must have work experience in a compliance context such as SOX, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP (preferred).
