Senior Software Engineer, Site Reliability Engineering

What you'll do

• Manage and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible to eliminate manual toil.
• Lead the architectural redesign and migration of legacy on-premises workloads into Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Define and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and error budgets to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Establish comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and self-healing systems to provide visibility into hybrid datacenter health.
• Conduct blameless post-mortems and root cause analyses to implement systemic improvements after critical incidents.
• Automate security remediation efforts, including patch management and vulnerability mitigation, to ensure compliance with standards like PCI and NIST.
• Maintain detailed documentation for SRE processes, operational runbooks, and infrastructure configurations.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 6 years of experience in cloud and hybrid datacenter operations with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Site Reliability Engineering.
• Proficiency in using GitOps, Terraform, and Ansible within a CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, or GoLang.
• Solid understanding of Linux (POSIX) and Windows System administration, including networking and firewalls.
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards such as CIS, NIST, and PCI.
• Proficiency with GCP (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering (preferred).
• Relevant industry certifications, such as Google Associate Cloud Engineer or Google Cloud Architect (preferred).
