Senior Software Engineer, Retail & Marcom Engineering

What you'll do

• Build high-throughput, high-performance, and scalable web services for the Apple Online Store.
• Architect and lead technical integrations with ApplePay, AppleCard, Wallet, and international payment gateways.
• Design and implement secure, next-generation e-commerce payment instruments.
• Develop server web applications, RESTful services, and supporting security infrastructure.
• Manage production data in strict accordance with company privacy policies.
• Design solutions with cross-functional teams that extend beyond the Apple Online Store.

What we're looking for

• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional work experience.
• 5+ years of proven experience developing software in a professional capacity (longer experience preferred).
• 3+ years of experience implementing high-scale, high-performance, and secure cloud-based distributed systems with API proficiency.
• 3+ years of experience using relational and NoSQL databases, including schema design and query optimization.
• Proficiency with Java, including concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming principles, data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
• Experience in developing multi-tier, multi-threaded, and distributed web services (preferred).
• Knowledge of micro-services, event-driven architectures, and containerization technologies like Kubernetes or EKS (preferred).
