Staff Software Engineer, Retail and Marcom Engineering

Staff Software Engineer, Retail and Marcom Engineering joins the Retail Engineering Foundations team to build and operate platform services powering retail data and application infrastructure. This role involves architecting, designing, developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining code while leading software projects from planning through implementation. The position focuses on creating reliable, scalable systems for online and physical store experiences and marketing tools. Key technical requirements include mastery of Java, including concurrency and memory management, alongside the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, WebFlux, and microservices. Candidates must possess expertise in cloud platforms using Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes, as well as experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ for event-driven architectures. Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases, search technologies like Elasticsearch, and advanced networking protocols is required to solve complex problems regarding high-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
