What you'll do

Own the delivery of scoped features and models through collaborative engineering teams.
Design, develop, test, and maintain data pipelines and platform services using Scala, Spark, Python, and PySpark.
Integrate AI and machine learning components to enhance software capabilities and innovation.
Participate in design reviews using scalable and maintainable software design principles.
Conduct code reviews, debugging, and continuous integration to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Monitor application performance using Grafana and telemetry to ensure SLA compliance and cost efficiency.

What we're looking for

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering.
Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience (preferred).
Proficiency in Scala, Python, PySpark, and Java with experience building distributed data pipelines on Apache Spark.
Expertise in object-oriented and functional programming, code review, debugging, and documentation-based coding practices.
Experience with big data ecosystems including GCP Dataproc, Airflow, Kafka, Cassandra, GCS, and columnar formats.
Experience with Kubernetes/WCNP deployments, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Knowledge of implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies (preferred).
