What you'll do

Design and ship performant Postgres queries and Node.js APIs for the core decision engine.

Translate ambiguous requests from internal stakeholders and customers into scoped, generalizable features.
Participate in system design decisions as the Decisioning services expand for enterprise rollouts.
Own end-to-end development of systems used to catch fraud and risk throughout the customer lifecycle.

What we're looking for

At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of backend services in production.
Hands-on experience writing and optimizing SQL, including reasoning about query plans and indexing under load.
Production experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
Ability to gather requirements from ambiguous requests and translate them into scoped features.
Track record of communicating directly with internal stakeholders or customers to clarify scope.
Experience with OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or similar search systems at scale (preferred).
Experience integrating LLMs into production features using Bedrock or similar platforms (preferred).
Fintech, banking, or other regulated industry experience; React or frontend experience (preferred).
