Senior Software Engineer in Test, Network Security, Performance

What you'll do

• Test customer use cases, integration, scalability, stress, and longevity for Meraki MX and Catalyst products.
• Qualify security services including malware detection, URL filtering, IPS, and threat modeling.
• Create and execute test strategies while reporting results and metrics to ensure feature quality.
• Build and maintain automation scripts to support CI/CD pipelines and improve regression coverage.
• Apply AI-driven ideas and Test Driven Development approaches to contribute to feature development.
• Verify SD-WAN and routing reliability features like policy-based routing and auto VPN failover.
• Fix bugs within firmware, backend systems, or user interfaces to improve product quality.

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience, a Master's with 4 years, or a PhD with 1 year is required.
• Experience testing network security features such as IPS/IDS, content filtering, and malware protection is required.
• Experience using traffic generators like Spirent, IXIA, or TREX is required.
• At least 3 years of automation or development experience is required.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, C++, or Golang is required.
• Experience with AI coding tools and Gen-AI prompting techniques is required.
• Preferred experience includes testing SD-WAN and routing reliability features like VPN failover and load balancing.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to peers and management is preferred.
