Senior Software Engineer-Distributed System The Senior Software Engineer-Distributed System joins the Azure Cosmos DB Gateway team within the Azure Data engineering organization. What you'll do

Design and build highly available, high-performance distributed systems at massive scale.
Build infrastructure for Cosmos DB gateway applications.
Optimize request routing, connection management, networking, caching, and load balancing for Cosmos DB workloads.
Create new designs, architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems.
Build reusable libraries of service practices for other teams to leverage.
Develop features that drive service growth in collaboration with internal and external partners.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Equivalent experience to the degree and years of experience requirements.
Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter.
Experience working on large scale distributed systems (preferred).
