As a Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer, you will join the team responsible for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Workflow, a Tier 0 service critical to the execution of distributed, multi-step work in a fault-tolerant manner. What you'll do

Design and optimize distributed system components for high-volume data processing, horizontal scaling, and vertical scalability.
Build fault-tolerant infrastructure using redundancy, replication, automatic failover, circuit breakers, and retry mechanisms.
Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to streamline troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
Create and manage monitoring tools including dashboards, telemetry systems, and automated alerting for component health.
Conduct performance testing, load testing, and fault-injection scenarios to ensure system correctness and availability.
Participate in incident response, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and author operational runbooks.
Implement advanced security controls such as encryption and access management in multi-tenant environments.
Ensure infrastructure compliance with industry standards through consistent documentation and change management protocols.

What we're looking for

Must have 3 to 5+ years of experience.
Proficiency in Java is required.
Proficiency in DevOps is required.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Experience designing and optimizing components in distributed systems for scalability and resiliency.
Experience implementing fault-tolerant paths including redundancy, replication, and automatic failover.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for managing cloud infrastructure.
Experience applying advanced security controls such as encryption and access management.
