As a Senior Software Engineer, Core Infrastructure, you will join the DNS Data Plane team to design, build, and operate high-performance, reliable DNS services for critical infrastructure. You will develop data plane components across authoritative and recursive request paths, focusing on low-latency and high-throughput processing. Your daily work involves building services and libraries using Go, C, Java, or Python while optimizing CPU, memory, and network I/O through event loops, concurrency models, and socket tuning. You will own the full lifecycle of these components, including architecture, testing, observability, and capacity planning. The role requires expertise in Linux systems, networking fundamentals like TCP/UDP, and advanced DNS protocols such as DNSSEC and EDNS(0). You will solve complex problems regarding distributed networking, performance-sensitive systems, and ensuring high availability for mission-critical services at a global scale.

What we're looking for
Must have 5-8+ years of experience building, managing, or operating large-scale distributed infrastructure in SaaS, cloud, or hybrid-cloud environments.
Must have at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Linux operating systems.
Must possess strong experience building and operating production-grade distributed systems or network services.
Must be proficient in one or more of Go, C, Java, or Python.
Must have a solid understanding of Linux systems, networking fundamentals, TCP/UDP, sockets, concurrency, and performance profiling.
Must demonstrate experience designing highly available systems and delivering safe production rollouts using canaries, progressive deployments, and feature flags.
Must possess strong ownership and technical judgment to resolve complex problems and navigate ambiguity.
