Senior Software Engineer, Core Infrastructure

What you'll do

• Design and optimize distributed system components for high scalability, resiliency, and large-scale data processing.
• Implement fault-tolerant mechanisms including redundancy, replication, automatic failover, circuit breakers, and timeouts.
• Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage cloud infrastructure and troubleshoot operations.
• Build monitoring systems including custom dashboards, telemetry, and automated alerts to proactively detect system failures.
• Conduct performance testing, load testing, and fault-injection scenarios to ensure system correctness and stability.
• Participate in incident response, perform root cause analysis, and author operational runbooks.
• Implement advanced security controls such as encryption and access management for multi-tenant environments.
• Review peer code and implementations to ensure compliance with scalability and performance standards.

What we're looking for

• Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Candidates must have 3 to 5+ years of experience in software engineering or related fields.
• Experience is required in designing and optimizing components for distributed systems with a focus on scalability and resiliency.
• Proficiency in implementing fault-tolerant paths including redundancy, replication, and automatic failover is required.
• Skills in developing automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for cloud infrastructure management are required.
• Experience applying advanced security controls such as encryption and access management is required.
• Ability to perform performance and load testing on large-scale data processing systems is required.
• Experience with monitoring tools, including telemetry, dashboards, and alert configurations, is required.
