What you'll do

Design and implement scalable distributed systems components using distributed state management tools.
Build fault-tolerant paths by implementing redundancy, replication, automatic failover, and circuit breakers.
Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for troubleshooting and cloud maintenance.
Create dashboards, telemetry systems, and alarms to proactively monitor component health and performance.
Diagnose and resolve system issues while participating in incident response and root cause investigations.
Apply advanced security controls including encryption and access management for multi-tenant environments.
Execute performance and load tests to ensure system correctness and high-volume data processing.

What we're looking for

Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English.
3 to 5+ years of experience is required.
Experience designing and implementing components in distributed systems with an emphasis on scalability, resiliency, and operability is required.
Experience with large-scale data processing, retrieval, storage, and distributed state management tools is required.
Experience building fault-tolerant paths including redundancy, replication, automatic failover, retries, circuit breakers, and timeouts is required.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for managing cloud infrastructure and automation is required.
Experience applying advanced security controls such as encryption and access remediation is required.
Experience with performance and load testing, including fault-injection and brown-out scenarios, is required.
