Senior Software Engineer, Cluster Networking

What you'll do

• Own and evolve the Kubernetes networking architecture for GPU clusters at multi-thousand-node scale.
• Design, operate, and scale the overlay network including CNI, mesh, and VPN topologies.
• Design and scale L7 gateways, load balancers, and tunnels using Envoy and Cloudflare.
• Identify and eliminate scale ceilings such as packet loss, control-plane saturation, and IP exhaustion.
• Build scale-test environments and validation suites to catch networking regressions before production.
• Diagnose complex distributed network problems across the stack using packet capture and tracing.
• Partner with cloud providers on network topology and requirements for new cluster deployments.

What we're looking for

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of professional experience in systems, network, or infrastructure software engineering.
• Deep command of Kubernetes networking architecture and CNI standards, with production experience operating Calico (preferred).
• Proficiency designing and maintaining modern mesh and VPN networking topologies such as Tailscale, WireGuard, or equivalent.
• Strong Linux networking fundamentals including routing, netfilter, iptables/nftables, packet marking, and network namespaces.
• Demonstrated ability to debug distributed network problems at scale using packet capture and tracing.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, C, or a comparable systems language.
• Experience with high-performance fabrics like InfiniBand, RoCE, or RDMA in AI or HPC environments (preferred).
