What you'll do

Design and evolve multi-tenant control-plane and data-plane architectures using Open vSwitch, OVN, and overlay network technologies.
Develop production software for Kubernetes networking, Linux host networking, and virtual machine networking.
Integrate Open vSwitch and OVN across flow behavior, configuration management, lifecycle upgrades, and large-scale operations.
Translate infrastructure requirements into secure orchestration services, APIs, state models, and delivery plans.
Build automated unit, integration, system, performance, and scale tests for continuous integration and deployment workflows.
Resolve production incidents using packet captures, telemetry, profiling, and source debugging to prevent recurrence.
Engineer monitoring, tracing, and service-level visibility to improve network reliability and resource efficiency.
Provide technical leadership through design reviews, mentoring, and leading networking escalations with partner teams.

What we're looking for

BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
12+ years of experience designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining production software in C and Go.
Experience with Bash and Python for test, diagnostic, build, or operational automation.
Concrete experience developing, integrating, and troubleshooting Open vSwitch and OVN, including OpenFlow and control-plane behavior.
Production Kubernetes networking experience involving container network interfaces, network policy, and node/pod traffic paths.
Strong Linux networking fundamentals including IP, TCP, UDP, routing, switching, overlay networks, and tunneling.
Experience architecting distributed systems with secure service APIs, state management, scalability, and failure handling.
Contributions to Open vSwitch, OVN, or Kubernetes networking open-source projects (preferred).
