Senior Software Engineer, Azure Storage Data Access

What you'll do

• Take end-to-end ownership of security features for Azure Storage access patterns.
• Lead the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of cloud-scale services.
• Improve service availability, observability, scalability, and performance for global data systems.
• Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) to ensure operational excellence and service health.
• Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools to improve code quality, troubleshooting, and operational efficiency.
• Develop backend capabilities for AI applications including training, inferencing, and distributed data processing.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 4+ years of experience coding in C, C++, or C# (or equivalent).
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check and other required security screenings.
• Master's Degree in Computer Science and 6+ years of engineering experience with C, C++, or C# (preferred).
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and 8+ years of engineering experience with C, C++, or C# (preferred).
• Experience with cloud storage systems, object storage, distributed file systems, or high-scale data plane services (preferred).
• Experience with authentication, authorization, identity systems, RBAC, ABAC, network security, encryption, or policy enforcement (preferred).
• Experience with performance-sensitive backend services including low-latency request paths, caching, and scale-out architectures (preferred).
• Experience building highly available services with strong observability and using AI-assisted engineering tools (preferred).
