Senior Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Architect, implement, and maintain user experiences across multiple platforms for health and sensing features.
• Develop real-time algorithms that fuse different sensing modalities to infer metrics and detect events.
• Design and contribute to APIs to expose internal metrics to third-party developers and cross-functional teams.
• Build software that supports the design of data collection and prototyping apps for scientific research.
• Deliver end-to-end features ranging from low-level silicon and firmware layers to high-level user interfaces.
• Manage the full software lifecycle to deliver best-in-class applications in collaboration with scientists and engineers.
• Mentor team members and provide technical leadership on large-scale, complex projects.

What we're looking for

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science.
• At least 10 years of experience as a software engineer.
• At least 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Extensive experience with programming languages such as C++, Objective-C, Swift, or SwiftUI.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and architecting complex systems for embedded devices (preferred).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail (preferred).
• Prior experience with machine learning including LLMs, foundation models, CNNs, or Bayesian methods (preferred).
• Experience with sensors, sensor fusion, fitness, and health technologies (preferred).
