The Senior (SMTS) Endpoint Security Software Engineer joins the Enterprise Security Technology team to build and operate scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems for cloud-scale security infrastructure. You will develop, deploy, and operate automation, tools, and internal solutions to address the evolving threat landscape for enterprise workloads. Key responsibilities include designing robust automation pipelines, performing threat modeling, conducting vendor evaluations, and executing proof-of-concepts for new technologies. You will utilize Python, Go, and CI/CD practices to manage infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code. The role requires expertise in Extended Detection and Response, Vulnerability Management, Network Security, and Application Control. You will collaborate with telemetry and SOAR teams to integrate detection logic and ensure endpoint hygiene meets regulatory requirements within a large enterprise environment.
Develop and deploy security solutions using modern tools and best development practices.
Build automation pipelines and utilities using Python to reduce manual operational effort.
Implement endpoint security technologies including XDR, Vulnerability Management, and Network Security.
Engage in threat modeling and participate in vendor evaluations for new technologies.
Support the definition and enforcement of security policies and standard operating procedures.
Contribute to CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and configuration-as-code efforts for security services.
Collaborate with security teams to develop detection logic and response workflows for SIEM and SOAR platforms.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for security services, policies, and operational procedures.
What we're looking for
You must have 5+ years of hands-on security software development experience.
You must have experience developing automation for production environments with more than ten thousand endpoint systems.
You must have continuous hands-on experience with scripting or programming in Python or Go.
You must be familiar with Agile development practices and the secure software development lifecycle.
You must have experience with formal change management processes in an enterprise environment.
You must be able to perform proof-of-concepts for new technologies and engage in threat modeling and vendor evaluation.
You should have experience integrating or operating endpoint protection, security firewalls, or email security platforms at enterprise scale (preferred).
You should have experience building detection content or automated response playbooks within a SIEM or SOAR platform (preferred).
